Learn how meditation can banish stress

Work, family, home, winter. They all can be sources of great joy, but also great stress.

And I don’t know about you, but for me, come Friday the stress rises to a deafening crescendo.

How to handle it all?

Well, Michael Ribet will be in Maywood this weekend to explain how meditation can help you go from stressful to calm.

Ribet, a longtime speaker on the science of spirituality, has been meditating for more than four decades. In addition to explaining how meditation can reduce your stress, he’ll also talk about how it can improve concentration and help one think more clearly.

The free lecture will be held at noon Saturday (Jan. 17) at the Maywood Public Library, 121 S. 5th Ave.
