A 24-year-old man was shot to death Saturday afternoon in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

About 12:45 p.m., Cornelius Hunter was in a vehicle in the 1200 block of South Pulaski when occupants of another vehicle fired shots in his direction, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He was shot in the chest and leg, crashed his vehicle, then walked into a nearby business where someone called authorities, police said.

Hunter, of the 1700 block of North Luna, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:26 p.m., authorities said.
