Two hurt in West Garfield Park shooting

Two people were shot Wednesday afternoon in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

Both males were shot in the 3900 block of West Washington at 2:10 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.

One male, whose age wasn’t available, was shot in the arm and chest and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, Sweeney said. The second victim, 46, was shot in the leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition had stabilized.
