A 17-year-old boy was shot in the Kenwood neighborhood on the South Side Wednesday evening.

About 6:15 p.m., the teen was shot in his left leg in the 4400 block of South Drexel, police said. King College Prep High School is in the same block.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
