Brooke Green’s shooting keys Lake Forest win over Warren

Success in basketball is often a function of combining strong play inside and out. The Lake Forest girls basketball team continues to master those principals.

On Saturday against Warren, the Scouts had one player — senior Brooke Green — adept at outside shooting. Her 7-for-8 shooting in the first half jumpstarted the Scouts. Then, when armed with a second half lead, Green fed passes inside to senior center Grace Torkelson, who converted for easy baskets. The Blue Devils had no answer for the combination, and the Scouts cruised to a 49-37 victory.
