Boy, 15, shot in Brighton Park

A 15-year-old boy was shot in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side Monday night.

About 7:20 p.m., the teen was walking in the 3000 block of West 39th Place when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to the buttocks, police said. He was listed in good condition.

The shooting occurred on the same block Nathan S. Davis Elementary School.
