A woman was shot in the face at a fast food eatery in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side Tuesday evening.

About 6:45 p.m., the 25-year-old was inside a building in the 6300 block of South Martin Luther King Drive when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, police said.

The woman suffered a graze wound to her face and was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.

According to television reports, the woman was shot a ta McDonald’s.

The woman was not the intended target of the shooting, which is thought to be gang-related, according to a police source.

The shooting occurred just north of “O Block,” the stretch of King Drive that saw more shootings than any other block in the city between June 2011 and June 2014, according to Sun-Times analysis.
