Woman shot in Washington Heights

A 41-year-old woman was shot in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the South Side on Friday afternoon.

She was shot in the left arm about 2 p.m. in the 9400 block of South Ashland, police News Affairs Officer Bari Lemmon said.

She was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where her condition was stabilized, Lemmon said. Details on the circumstances of the shooting weren’t available Friday night.
