Woman robs Bank of America in Elmhurst

Authorities are searching for a woman who robbed a Bank of America branch last week in west suburban Elmhurst.

The woman entered the bank at 205 N. Addison in Elmhurst at 10:30 a.m. Thursday and gave the teller a note demanding money, according to the FBI and Elmhurst police. She left the bank with an unknown amount of cash.

The woman did not show a weapon and no one was injured, authorities said.

The robber is described as a 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6 white woman with a thin-to-medium build. She was wearing a red or purple knit hat, black North Face jacket, thick-rimmed glasses and khaki pants.

Anyone with information should call the FBI at (312) 421-6700, or Elmhurst police at (630) 530-3050. Tips can also be submitted to policeinfo@elmhurst.org.
