Burglaries reported this week on North Side

Police are warning residents about a series of burglaries reported over the past week on the North Side.

In each of the reported break-ins, someone has entered a home by breaking glass on a window or door and taken property from within, according to a community alert from Chicago Police. They have typically occurred in the late afternoon, police said.

They burglaries were reported:

  • In the 1500 block of North Wieland Nov. 11;
  • In the 1800 block of North Dayton Nov. 12;
  • In the 1100 block of West Webster Nov. 15;
  • In the 2000 block of North Cleveland Nov. 16;
  • In the 1800 block of North Cleveland Nov. 16.

Anyone with information about the break-ins is asked to contact Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8382.
