Police are cautioning Galewood residents as three homes have been burglarized since last week in the Northwest Side neighborhood.

Burglars broke through doors or used unlocked windows to get in, according to a community alert issued Thursday by Grand Central District detectives.

The break-ins happened:

— between 8 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. Nov. 12 in the 1900 block of North Oak Park;

— between 10 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. Nov. 16 in the 1600 block of North Nashville; and

— between 3:45 p.m. and 7 p.m. Nov.17 in the 1800 block of North Mulligan.

After one burglary, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound black man between 40 and 50 years old was spotted in the backyard, the alert said. He was bald with a light complexion.

Anyone with information should call Area North detectives at (312) 744-8263.
