A man was wounded in a shooting early Thursday in the South Shore neighborhood on the South Side.

The 25-year-old was in the 7000 block of South Crandon about 2:25 a.m. when two males approached him and one of them pulled out a gun and shot him in the face, according to Chicago Police.

He drove himself to Advocate Trinity Hospital and was transferred to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
