Teenage boy shot in Greater Grand Crossing

A 16-year-old boy was shot early Tuesday in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

The boy was walking in the 1300 block of East 70th Street about 12:10 a.m. when a dark-colored car pulled up and a male passenger got out and fired at him, police said. The shooter then got back in the car, which drove away.

The boy was shot in the leg and taken to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, according to police.
