Tiger Woods' spitting bothered caddie Steve Williams

You’ve probably heard the story by now about how Tiger Woods longtime caddie, Steve Williams, felt like he was “his slave” when he’d have to pick up Tiger’s tossed clubs.

That has been the one screaming headline to come out of Williams’ tell-all book, “Out of the Rough.”

By some estimates, Williams averaged more than $500,000 a year on Woods’ bag, performing that god-awful task for 13 seasons.

Buried beneath that and the marital-scandal saga was one minor gripe Williams had with Woods.

The other thing that disgusted me was his habit of spitting at the hole if he missed a putt.

Williams was not commissioned to pick up spit.
