More than240flights were canceled at O’Hare International Airport Sunday as the city dealt with the aftermath of the second largest snowstorm on record for the city in November.

Travel woes were on the mend as of 8:40 p.m., though, with no significant delays on most scheduled flights, according to the city’s Aviation Department. No cancellations or delays were reported at Midway.

At O’Hare, 11.2 inches of snow fell from Friday to Saturday, making it the second largest snowstorm for November in Chicago, according to the weather service. The top November snowstorm was recorded Nov. 25-26, 1985, when 12 inches of snow fell.

This monthnow ranks as fourth snowiest on record, even though it has also been one of the warmest Novembers, according to the weather service.

Chicago isn’t expected to see a chance of more of the white stuff until the day after Thanksgiving,according to the weather service.Rainis expected to startfalling on Wednesday and continue at least through Friday.
