A 19-year-old man was critically wounded in a South Shore neighborhood shooting Monday night.

The man was shot in the back in the 2600 bock of East 74th Place about 7:50 p.m., police said.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The 25-year-old was found about 10:35 p.m. inside a first-floor apartment in the 6500 block of South Greenwood Avenue with a gunshot wound to the face. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
