Man dies month after Glenview crash

A man died Wednesday morning, a month after he was injured in a motorcycle crash in north suburban Glenview.

Bruce Payne, 39, was injured in a crash between a motorcycle and a car at 5:24 p.m. Oct. 10 in the 3400 block of East Lake Avenue in Glenview, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Payne, of the 100 block of West Stratford Place in Mount Prospect, was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he was pronounced dead at 8:32 a.m. Wednesday, the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy Thursday revealed he died of complications of multiple blunt force injuries he suffered in the crash, and his death was ruled an accident.

Glenview police could not immediately provide additional details on the crash.
