Police are looking for a man who tried to lure a young girl last week in the South Chicago neighborhood.

The 9-year-old was walking at 8:16 a.m. Nov. 19 in the 8800 block of South Buffalo Avenue when a man approached and pursued her, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

He is described as a very skinny black man in his 50s, with messy gray and black hair and a gray and black full beard and mustache, standing between 5-feet-4 and 5-feet-6, the alert said. He was wearing a black jacket and green pants.
