A man was shot in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side early Friday.

The 31-year-old was driving in the 3500 block of South California about 2:40 a.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, police said. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
