Bank robbed on Southwest Side

Someone robbed a bank Wednesday afternoon in the Garfield Ridge neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The person walked into the Byline Bank branch at 6859 W. Archer Ave. about 1:30 p.m. and made off with an unspecified amount of cash, according to the FBI.

The robber is described as a white male with brown hair, between 5-foot-6 and 6-feet with a medium build. He was wearing a light button-down shirt, a dark suit and glasses, authorities said.

He didn’t show a weapon and no one was hurt.
