A man was shot early Sunday in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

About 5:10 a.m., the 23-year-old man was riding in the passenger seat of a car in the 5400 block of South Hoyne, when someone in a passing black car fired shots, hitting him in the lower left leg, according to Chicago Police.

The driver of the car drove him to the Chicago Lawn police station, and then Chicago Fire Department took him to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in good condition, police said.
