Police warn of Albany Park, Irving Park home burglaries

Police are warning Northwest Side residents of three home burglaries in three days in the Albany Park and Irving Park neighborhoods.

The suspect or suspects placed an object, like a chair, underneath a side window to enter the homes, according to the community alert from Area North detectives. A description of the suspect or suspects was not available.

The burglaries happened:

  • between 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. on Nov. 23 in the 4700 block of North Avers Avenue;
  • between 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 24 in the 3700 block of West Wilson Avenue;
  • and between 10 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. on Nov. 25 in the 4300 block of North Monticello Avenue.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to call Area North detectives at (312) 744-8263.
