Two shot in Woodlawn

Two people were shot in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side Tuesday evening.

About 5:10 p.m., a male and female — whose ages were not immediately known — were shot in the 700 block of East 62nd Street, police said.

The female was shot in the back and also suffered a graze wound to her head, police said. She was take to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.

The male was shot in the left hand and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition stabilized, police said.
