10 arrested at Laquan McDonald protest at City Hall

Ten people, including NAACP President Cornell Brooks, were arrested during a demonstration against Laquan McDonald’s fatal shooting Monday at City Hall.

Chicago Police confirmed 10 citations were issued during a “small gathering” at City Hall.

“In paddy wagon, just arrested with Stephen Green & young seminarians seeking justice 4 Laquan McDonald,” Cornell Brooks, president and CEO of the NAACP, tweeted Monday afternoon.

“Inspired by the commitment of our Chicago branches of the NAACP,” Brooks added. “Real dedication amidst a real crisis.”
