Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 43-year-old woman missing from the Belmont Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side since Tuesday evening.

Sonia Ofray was reported missing from the 2800 block of North Nagle and was last seen about 7 p.m. Tuesday, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

Ofray, who only speaks or understands Spanish, has a diminished mental capacity and may not be able to find her way home, police said. She is known to frequent the stores in the Chicago Brickyard Mall, near Narragansett and Diversey, and has family members that live in Elmwood Park.

She is described as a 5-foot-6, 150-pound, Hispanic woman with brown eyes, black hair, a medium complexion and a deformed right ear, police said. Ofray was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and light blue jeans.

Anyone with information on Ofray’s whereabouts is asked to contact Area North detectives at (312) 744-8266.
