Man shot in Bronzeville

A man was shot in the Bronzeville neighborhood early Friday.

The 43-year-old was in the 4700 block of South Prairie about 1:05 a.m. when someone in a blue sedan shot him in the left side, police said.

He drove himself to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center and was later transferred to Stroger Hospital, police said. His condition had stabilized.
