17-year-old boy killed in south suburban crash

A 17-year-old boy died last month after a crash in south suburban Steger.

Kyle Buster was in a vehicle that hit a “fixed object” in the 22500 block of Cottage Grove Avenue in Steger, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He suffered multiple injuries and was taken to Franciscan St. James Health in Chicago Heights, where he was pronounced dead at 3:52 p.m. on Oct. 26, authorities said.

Buster lived in the 3300 block of Enterprise Park Avenue in South Chicago Heights. An autopsy ruled his death an accident.

Steger police could not immediately be reached for more details.
