Home invasion reported in Darien

Authorities are investigating a home invasion that was reported Friday afternoon in west suburban Darien.

A male entered a home near Concord Place and Nantucket Drive in unincorporated Darien about 2 p.m. and distracted the homeowner by taking him outside, according to a statement from the DuPage County sheriff’s office. Two other males then entered the house and started going through it.

The suspects left the area in a black SUV, the sheriff’s office said. All three were white males, and one of them has an Eastern European accent.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at (630) 407-2400.
