A 56-year-old man was shot to death in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side early Saturday, police said.

The man was found shot in the chest and lying on the sidewalk in the 1100 block of North Pulaski about 2:50 a.m., police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
