A 17-year-old boy was injured in a drive-by shooting Saturday night in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The teen was walking down the sidewalk in the 7300 block of South Morgan Street about 11:20 p.m. when people in a black car shot him in the left knee, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Shermain Sargent, 41, is accused of beating Timothy Ash, 74, on Jan. 7 in the 6400 block of South King Drive. Ash died Jan. 12 of injuries suffered from the assault, the medical examiner reported.
