Chicago Police are warning residents of two recent armed robberies reported in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.
In both incidents, the robbers showed a handgun and took victims’ cell phones and cash, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.
The most recent robbery happened about 4 a.m. Oct. 23 in the 3600 block of West Flournoy and the other robbery happened about 7:40 a.m. Oct. 20 in the 700 block of South Homan, police said.
One suspect in the Flournoy incident is described as a 180-pound, 6-foot-1 black man with dreadlocks and the other robber is described as a 5-foot-8, 180-pound black man, police said. The robber in the Homan incident is described as a 5-foot-11, 150-pound black man, thought to be about 25 years old, with a dark complexion.
