Man, 28, wounded in Ford Heights shooting

A man was shot in south suburban Ford Heights early Monday.

The 28-year-old man was sitting in his vehicle near the Atlantis Gentleman’s Club in the 1800 block of East Lincoln Highway at 3:10 a.m., when a man wearing a mask walked up to his vehicle, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.

When the man tried to leave, the suspect shot at him multiple times. The man’s injuries were not life threatening, and he was taken to a nearby hospital, police said.

The suspect may have fled the scene in an old silver Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable, which may have a dent on the rear driver’s side.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call Cook County Sheriff police at 708-865-4896.
