Police are warning residents of a series of business burglaries over the past three months on Western Avenue in the Far South Side Beverly neighborhood.

The burglaries occurred around midnight:

  • Sept. 4 in the 10400 block of Western;
  • Oct. 13 in the 10500 block of Western; and
  • Nov. 2 in the 10500 block of Western.

In each incident, the suspect used pry tools to force his way into the business, emptied cash registers and searched the property for cash, police said.

Video surveillance in one incident showed a 35- to 55-year-old white man, about 5-foot-8 and 180-pounds wearing gloves, police said.
