A woman suffered a graze wound to the head early Sunday in a shooting on the Dan Ryan Expressway on the South Side.
Three females were riding in a van headed northbound on the Dan Ryan (I-90/94) near Roosevelt when shots were fired about 4:15 a.m., according to Illinois State Police. A bullet hit the van causing it to stall in the center lane.
A 45-year-old woman sitting in the passenger seat suffered a graze wound to the head, police said. She was taken with minor injuries to Rush University Medical Center. Police said it was initially unclear whether she was wounded from shattered glass or the shooting.
As of Monday morning, no one had been charged in connection with the shooting, police said.
