Police: Four North Park homes burglarized last month

Police are cautioning Far North Side residents after a string of four home burglaries in February in the North Park neighborhood.

Someone has pried or kicked open doors to homes and apartment units to steal jewelry, cash and electronics, according to a community alert from Albany Park District Chicago Police.

The burglaries happened:

–on Feb. 12, between 11 a.m. and 7:40 p.m. in the 5900 block of North St. Louis;

–on Feb. 12, between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. in the 5800 block of North Christiana;

–sometime between Feb. 15 and 20 in the 6100 block of North Kimball; and

–on Feb. 23, about 3:45 p.m. in the 5800 block of North Spaulding.

Police do not have a description of the possible burglar and urge residents to keep doors, windows and alarm systems in good maintenance.
