Police: Man likely shot with pellet gun in Englewood

A 23-year-old man was shot in the face, possibly with a pellet gun, Monday night in the Englewood neighborhood.

About 11:05 p.m., the man was with three friends in an alley near the 1000 block of West Marquette when one of them pulled out a weapon and shot the man in the forehead, police said.

The man was then taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized.

Police added that according to preliminary information, they believe the man was shot with a pellet gun.
