Man shot in Austin

A man was shot in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side Tuesday afternoon.

About 2:10 p.m., the 47-year-old was outside in the 5400 block of West Madison when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.

He was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park with a gunshot wound to his shoulder, police said. He was listed in good condition.
