Georgia Nicols weekly horoscopes for March 8

All Signs

Wednesday is called Hump Day because after Wednesday, you’re over the hump and closer to the weekend. I don’t use the term because I write from home and do not always have a weekend that is free. But this week is different! This week Wednesday really is Hump Day because on Wednesday, fiery Mars will line up with unpredictable Uranus while, at the same time, it is at odds with Pluto. This spells trouble. “Right here in River City!” Plans will change. There will be accidents and arguments. Detours and power struggles will erupt. This means we will all went to get past Wednesday! Until then, don’t worry which side your bread is buttered on because you eat both sides. (And if you eat in the dark you don’t gain weight.)

Aries (March 21-April 19)

You feel unsettled this week because fiery Mars and Uranus are lined up in your sign. Pow! Ironically, on Monday, your ruler Mars dances beautifully with lucky Jupiter. This means you feel energetic, positive, hopeful and optimistic. Yes! Let’s hope the Fates are not just toying with you. Use this energy to get as much done as possible because by midweek, something will thrust you into power struggles with authority figures. At the same time, it will create something different and very unexpected in your daily world. This is an accident-prone influence so be careful. Think before you act or say anything. Use caution to protect yourself. Your own awareness will be your best UV SPF factor to avoid getting burnt.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Something at home, possibly private or not known to many, will please you at the beginning of the week. This could relate to real estate or family matters. Whatever the case, it looks good! However, by midweek, something or someone will be working against your own best interests. This might involve a disagreement about ideology or politics. Or it could relate to different countries or foreign travel. It might also relate to publishing, the media, medicine and the law. If you do feel you have enemies, keep your eyes open because this week any energy that is detrimental to you has strength. Don’t be paranoid. Just be aware and don’t be a fool.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

As this week begins, your energy with friends or a particular group is positive and dynamic. You might be happy about your success in a competition with someone; or perhaps, you will show qualities of charismatic leadership. Whatever the case, people will want to follow your lead. However, by midweek, something unusual and unexpected will occur. It could be an upset in a group or a sudden loss. (Yes, it could be a sudden win, as well.) Someone unusual might create a coup. Perhaps a power struggle about funds, or spending a specific amount of money, or how to use a certain asset will take place. On top of this, whatever occurs will be obvious to everyone. Yup, you can run but you can’t hide.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

You display qualities of powerful leadership and ambition at the beginning of this week. This is why others will seek out your advice or alliance. Meanwhile, you are keen to expand your world through travel, adventure and a chance to learn something new. Nevertheless, by midweek, something will “explode” in your life. Whatever this unexpected influence is will affect your reputation, and perhaps, put you at odds with partners and close friends. A real power struggle! This could mean a change of leadership. You might suddenly get a new boss, or something unexpected with a parent might occur. This change doesn’t have to be bad. It could be an over-the-top promotion! What looks most likely is increased freedom of action.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Matters related to publishing, higher education, medicine and the law have you pumped on Monday. Things are looking swell! Others will be thrilled about travel plans and a chance to go places or expand their world. However, one of two things will happen midweek: These same opportunities in travel, publishing, the media, medicine, the law and higher education might expand even further in an amazing way — yay! Or something sudden and unexpected might catch you off guard and blow you out of the water. The only thing for certain is that it is major and it’s unexpected. Quite likely, it will be favourable because lucky Jupiter gives you divine protection now. Meanwhile, work hard to reduce debt, and focus red-tape details. Facts are stubborn — statistics are much more pliable.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Remember to get more sleep because you need more rest this month. Take naps. On Monday, you will defend your own best interests in any shared endeavor. This includes inheritances, shared property, insurance disputes etc. You are empowered as this week begins. However, by midweek, perhaps new information or an entirely different influence will enter the picture. Something unexpected will affect your relationship to inheritances, shared property, taxes and debt that comes as a surprise. But the surprise is exactly that — something unexpected. Whatever occurs might be positive or negative — hard to say. Batten down the hatches to be safe.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This is a popular time for you because you’re involved with partners, close friends and groups. Things are up and down with close relationships because Mars tends to create problems with others: whereas, Venus softens everything with diplomacy and sweet words. Both these influences are at play. One thing is certain: This week something unusual will occur. Some partnerships will end suddenly because of something unusual or unexpected. As a result, you might feel freer, even younger. Responsibilities and obligations you had for someone else might suddenly lighten. Meanwhile, you will work tirelessly to restore organization to your job.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You’re putting out lots of energy at work and in your job this week. In fact, on Monday, you’re pumped and raring to go! You are working hard and delegating as well because you want to look good to bosses, superiors and the world in general. However, something unexpected will catch you off guard midweek. Let’s hope it’s a fabulous job opportunity or promotion. But it could be just the opposite because the thing I see is “sudden change.” This sudden change could affect your health, your daily job, or even your relationship with a pet. It’s unexpected and might also involve power struggles with siblings or daily contacts. Just wait to see what happens.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You start this week off full of eager expectation and optimism for the future. You are gung ho about vacation possibilities or something to do with children, the arts, the hospitality industry or the entertainment world. Life looks exciting! However, tread carefully because by midweek, these same areas are suddenly subject to unexpected changes and surprises. Please note: This includes an accident-prone influence with your kids — so be vigilant. A romantic relationship might suddenly begin or suddenly end. Power struggles about money and possessions are possible. Keep your eyes open and your feet wide apart so that you are in a strong position to react to whatever happens. (If you take the plunge — please return it by Thursday.)

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Exciting things are taking place at home or within your family dynamic. Some of you are making big changes through residential moves or renovations. But do be careful because by midweek, something unexpected will affect home and family. This is practically a certainty. It could be a family argument or a power struggle with someone. It might also indicate a sudden change to your home conditions that surprise you, and yet, at the same time, give you greater freedom of action. Home accidents are possible; but for some, delightful changes to the home might also take place. And for others, it could mean the introduction of something exciting and high-tech to their home. Fingers crossed!

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You are confident, energetic and strong at the beginning of this week. This is why you will persuade others to listen to you. You might be successful in sales, marketing and writing, acting or teaching because your communication skills are fabulous. However, midweek, an accident might occur or something unusual might surprise you. Please note it could be pleasant. This does not have to mean bad news. Nevertheless, be aware and mindful about everything you say and do, especially walking, jogging and driving. This unexpected influence could mean an accident; but it might also be as trivial as being surprised by a sibling or relative. “Elvis! What are you doing in town?”

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

This week sudden and unexpected changes affect each sign in a different part of their life. Whatever happens for you will affect your earnings or possessions. At the beginning of the week, you are upbeat and confident about boosting your earnings, improving your job and increasing your assets, perhaps through a major purchase. However, in a matter of days or hours, a power struggle might blow you out of the water. Something unexpected. Disputes and quarrels with others might take place. This does not have to mean a loss to you, although it could. But it does mean something will change — let’s hope it’s for the better! (Money is so handy when you want to buy things.)
