Barrington massage therapist charged with sex assault

The owner of a massage therapy business in northwest suburban Barrington is facing a sexual assault charge.

Michael S. Greenfield, 55, is facing one count of criminal sexual assault for an alleged incident at Sole2Soul Bodywork, at 1250 S. Grove Ave. in Barrington, according to a statement from Barrington Police.

Greenfield is the owner of the business and practices massage therapy there, police said. Further details about the alleged assault were not released Monday evening.

Greenfield, of Lake in the Hills, was ordered held on a $125,000 bond at a hearing Friday at the Rolling Meadows courthouse, authorities said.

He is next scheduled to appear in court March 27, court records show.
