Man shot in Belmont Cragin

A man was shot early Sunday in the Northwest Side Belmont Cragin neighborhood.

The shooting happened in the 4600 block of West Diversey about 4:55 a.m., police said.

The man, 25, was walking on the sidewalk when someone fired shots from a passing red vehicle, police said.

He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg, police said. He was in good condition.

Police said the shooting may be gang-related.
