Two homes have been burglarized in the Southwest Side Chicago Lawn neighborhood in the last two weeks.

At least one burglar enters a home through a window and steals property during the afternoon, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.

The burglaries happened about 1 p.m. May 17 in the 2500 block of West 62nd Street; and about 2:50 p.m. May 21 in the 2600 block of West 62nd Street, police said.

Residents are advised to keep doors and windows secured, and watch neighbors’ homes for suspicious activity.
