Elena Delle Donne has definitely been worth watching.

The Chicago Sky forward has only been with Chicago for two seasons, but has accomplished so much.

Since her start with the Sky, Delle Donne was awarded Rookie of the Year in 2013, won CAA Player of the Year, became the first rookie in WNBA history to win the All-star fan vote, and was recently named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for two consecutive weeks, just to name a few.

Recently, an NFL writer for Sports Illustrated tweeted that all women’s sports are not worth watching. When asked about it, Delle Donne responded: “It’s just frustrating that there is such inequality in sports when in the entertainment world, for example singers, you don’t see that. So, hopefully it will come along and everybody will start catching up to 2015.”

While she enjoys the attention the WNBA gets, Delle Donne would rather not dwell on her accomplishments.

“We really don’t pay attention to the individual accolades,” she said of her recent awards. “We just want to get wins with a consistent team. Obviously we’re 3-3 right now. We need to put some more wins together.”

On being asked about how getting to the finals last year and getting a taste of winning would contribute to this season: “It definitely gives us confidence, but we are a pretty new team with a lot of new players so we’re going to have to start over. It’s a brand new season, and we can’t always focus on the past, but it gives confidence to the players that were here last season.”
