From her child-star days in “Akeelah and the Bee” to her upcoming turn in the live Fox broadcast of “Grease,” Keke Palmer keeps making her Robbins hometown proud with one accomplishment after another.
The latest: heading up a team on ABC’s summer hit “Celebrity Family Feud.” Palmer, 21, brings along father Larry, mother Sharon, sister Loreal and brother-in-law Frank for the episode airing at 7 p.m. Sunday.
As usually happens on the show, things get frisky. A promo clip shows host Steve Harvey and Palmer’s mom having fun with the way Palmer’s dad completes the sentence, “If a man wants a woman, he should cover himself with …”
Competing to raise money for the Embrace Girls Foundation, a Florida charity that runs after-school programs and camps for young girls, Palmer’s family goes up against the clan of Blue Collar Comedy comic Bill Engvall.
Palmer played the title role in “Cinderella” on Broadway last year and will appear this fall on the new Fox series “Scream Queens.”
