A man was shot in the East Garfield Park neighborhood early Wednesday on the West Side.

The 27-year-old was standing outside in the 2800 block of West Jackson at 12:47 a.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines said.

The man suffered two gunshot wounds to the back of the head and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition, Gaines said. He was being uncooperative with investigators.
