Two shot on South Side

Two people were shot in Bronzeville on the South Side Monday night, leaving a woman seriously wounded.

The shooting happened at 8:19 p.m. near 37th Street and Vincennes, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

A 23-year-old woman shot in the chest was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.

Friends of a 21-year-old man shot in the lower leg drove him to a hospital, but his condition wasn’t known.
