Three injured when CTA bus makes sudden stop on South Side

Three people suffered minor injuries when a CTA bus made a sudden stop Monday afternoon in the Jackson Park Highlands neighborhood on the South Side.

About 4 p.m., the bus stopped abruptly near 71st and Jeffery, causing three adult passengers to falls, Chicago Fire Department spokesman Jeff Lyle said.

Two of them were taken to Jackson Park Hospital and one was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital, Lyle said. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.
