Chicago Police are warning of four similar armed robberies that have taken place in September on the South and West sides.

During the robberies, at least two male suspects used force or pulled out a handgun, then stole cell phones, coats and vehicles from citizens on the street, according to a community alert from Area North and South detectives.

The robberies happened:

  • in the 4000 block of West Carroll about 2:30 a.m. Sept. 6;
  • in the 5600 block of South Princeton about 12:30 a.m. Sept. 7;
  • in the 4800 block of West Washington about 1:15 a.m. Sept. 7;
  • and in the 5700 block of West End Avenue about 1 a.m. Sept. 7.

The suspect descriptions vary, but are generally described as between two and four males wearing hooded sweatshirts.
