A teenage boy was shot during an attempted robbery Tuesday night in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The 14-year-old was shot in the shoulder during the robbery attempt about 11:20 p.m. in the 2100 block of South Pulaski, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.
