Police are warning businesses in the Oakland neighborhood on the South Side of two robberies involving delivery drivers over the past month.
Both robberies occurred in the 4100 block of South Ellis Avenue, according to a community alert from Chicago Police. The first occurred about 12:03 p.m. on Sept. 3, while the second was reported about 4:30 p.m. Sept. 7.
In these incidents, the suspects displayed a handgun, demanded the victims’ belongings and then ran, police said.
The suspects are described as two 18 to 22-year-old black men standing 5-foot-6 to 6-foot-2 and weighing 140 pounds with light to medium complexions, police said. One suspect is described as having a “locks” hairstyle.
