Man, 19, seriously wounded in West Englewood shooting

A man was seriously wounded in a West Englewood neighborhood shooting late Friday.

About 11:50 p.m., the 19-year-old was sitting in the passenger seat of a car parked in the 7100 block of South Ashland, police said. As he was in the car, another male walked up and shot him in the abdomen, right leg, right ankle and buttocks.

He was driven to Holy Cross Hospital, but was later transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. He was listed in serious condition.
